Have you considered investing in an EV? Do the vehicles showcased here have features that appeal to you? If not, what should manufacturers do to earn your purchase?
yes, we switched from a lifetime of gas cars to a model 3 last year, we are never going back
Drives a BMW i3, Hyundai Ionic 5 could be a good follow up, in my dreams I drive a Rivian across the World...
I've had a 2017 Chevy Bolt for about 18 months. I love it although now I'm work from home and don't commute. Still, when I was it was $15 a month for fuel and the first scheduled maintenance is at 150K miles, so much cheaper than the ever increasing repair costs of an ICE. I like all EV owners, never going back to ICE. We do have a Forester for our road trip exploring since it can go anywhere compared to a low to the ground hatchback.
@Mick Krever what?
*We don't suppose to talk about the big bad Nio and XPeng hahahaha 🤣* *- The Verge*
Definitely review the Polestar 2
It seems like lots of automakers are betting that relatively affluent people (or families) will buy mid-size SUVs instead of sedans or sports cars. I'm curious if there will be a wave of relatively cheap sedan (like the Honda Accord or Toyota Corolla) EVs in the coming years if these are successful.
The number one that IMO that these companies need to make sure is solved is charging. I should be able to charge at any companies station, just like you do with gas, and just like you do with charging your other electronics. (i.e. USB C but for cars)
Companies need to start working on affordable and basic EV's for the next decades new drivers; or come up with rental/subscribtion contracts similar to how we rent/subscribe to our phones.
Where does the electricity to charge these cars come from? Can the power grid supply enough to charge more cars? What happens to the batteries when they go bad, where do they go? The world is not advanced enough for electric vehicles (yet).
Taycan Wagon!!!
EU emotion rules also played a big part in the existence of the ID4
All cars look the same. I am not a fan of Cyberturck but at least ITS SOMETHING NEW
You are making a big mistake by neglecting Dacia Spring.
Just pulled the trigger on a Tesla model 3 in January. If you haven't test driven a tesla, it's hard to understand just how good it is compared to legacy gas vehicles.
India's TATA Nexon EV is a worthy car. You could have mentioned it.
Yes make more ev videos
That Tesla Cybertruck is very reminiscent of the De Lorean.
I like what Lucid has to offer in the coming years. Can’t wait for the Air to hit the streets this year $CCIV
We gotta stop with gigantic cars in the US
Could you do a video on EV drive trains and the possible future of them. The Aptera is using hub motors which are way simpler as they have no drive shafts or gears. Just a powered hub. I love the simplicity of the idea but I'm not able to find much basic information on their real world performance. I'm not sure why they are not more common as they seem like a slam dunk to me- I'm maybe missing something? Or perhaps they are too new on the scene for large vehicles and there isn't much info yet? I'm new to the subject of EV's and I appreciate your video on them.
I'm dissapointed that you didn't mention the Aptera. Perhaps you didn't include it as it is not yet in production but is expected to roll the first ones out later this year. Maybe you could do a whole video on the Aptera? I think they are extremely interesting and rather unique in the EV world. For sure anyone interested in EV's would be interested in them I think.
Sorry buddy, thumbs down 2 min into. Pathetic.
Why are Americans so obsessed with SUV's? There are tons of other EV types around.
We drive a lot, and it's a very big country. So accounting for space needed to drive across the country is a pretty common thought that folks have.
Great video. Now can we have one for the rest of the world?
Hummer EV is overdesign truck another mistake for GM....now they are eating dust aginst Tesla..
please please PLEASE make a video on the aptera concept
Cybertruck has over 1.2 million preorders
I think the topic is misleading. Every year will be huge for electric cars, not just 2021. 2022, 2023, ... and so on. The electric car era just kicked off and there is no going back. Maybe billions of barrels of oil will stay underground forever.
Dacia Spring EV , ID 4 , Tesla Model Y will be flagship cars of 2021.
Hey Lucid! Selling "air" to the public sounds like a corrupt business practice...
what kind of name is Xpeng? LOL
half a million 100 $ deposits?
Why? What's the answer
I would add Hyundai IONIQ 5 to the list. Hyundai has been making highly efficent EVs for a while and it's newly announced Ioniq 5 looks very promising with great specs, modern design... and it is set for sale this year.
I'm still a few years out until I buy a new car but this has me very excited for the future of EVs.
Wtf is this channel?
If you’re doing EV cars do about the e tron GT
Finally EV's are becoming a thing now...I hope this will help reduce pollution
its called planting more trees
Doesn't that China has the biggest EV market? Nio, BYD, XPeng...
Most of China’s sales are cheap city cars that wouldn’t pass inspection here. Hopefully new Nio and Byton cars change that to give Tesla competition. But Tesla is the most profitable in China also.
WITH TESLA LEADING.

Lucid and rivian has a lot of hype but still no product..i hope they get in the market fast.
Yall didn't say a single thing about EV motorcycles.
Please make a video about Nio (or battery swapping strategy)🙏
Yes, more electric car videos!
It's ridiculous the amount of ads on this video. More ads or more cars
Please, do a video on Nio!
please do more electric car videos, I want to learn more about them as when I am at the right age to buy cars, I want them to be all electric. I'd want to be as informed as possible and these videos help a lot! :D
Overpriced cars, poor charging infrastructure and in some cases, poorly maintained charging points.... Nope, not for me thank you
Electric cars are still... cars. It's not sustainable transportation. Start riding your f****** bicycles right now.
That's Tesla truck is sooo desperate to be conceptually innovative that it's f*cking hideous!!! 🤮 That EV hummer though! I just came 🤤
a video about NIO would be cool!
Not my president...
LOL! We’ve heard this year will be huge for electric cars for at least a decade now. Nope. Still not going to happen.
For a sec I thought that first guy was Nathaniel Drew.
Please make a video about china’s foray into EVs
The crooked kite unquestionably wave because stem dentsply list for a pathetic brandy. harmonious, premium hell
It’s not Dieter, im out!
ITS RUBISH FAR TO EXPENSIVE ELON MUSK CAN KEEP IT!
ELECTRIC CARS ARE FAR TO EXPENSIVE I WILL KEEP MY GASS CAR. ELECTRIC CARS MUST NOT COST MORE THEN$4000. TO $5000. ELON MUSK HE CAN KEEP ELECTRIC CARS FOR HIM SELF ARE YOUREAL!
Talk Nio and other foreign EV startups!
@Mick Krever wut

Ev charging stations are the new money makers. They are needed anywhere and everywhere you park and they can be franchised.
nice job guys! Thanks
0:01 YOU AMERICANS SERIOUSLY CAN'T DRIVE.... THAT'S EMBARRASSINGLY... WEAK
It's amusing how most of these cars from legacy manufacturers have faux grills. It reminds me of how the early motor cars looked like buggys from the horse and buggy days.
Who is craving for SUVs? Really? Bulky heavy useless car...
Yes another video on EVs
TEXAS FREEZE RAISES COST OF TESLA CHARGE TO $900.00 TEXAS FREEZE RAISES COST OF TESLA CHARGE TO $900.00
NOT SO SURE ABOUT THAT, MY FRIEND.
All those cars probably have better computers than yours
For tesla and lucid definitely, the others, not so much.
YES, make more EV videos 👌🔋
More electric vehicles mean more federal taxes to make up the tax loss of gas tax.
They could pay for it with the subsidies they use for oil.
Isnt torque normally measured in NM ? Never heard of pound feet
I hear it more then NM for description of torque for a car, it's the American way of describing it.
You guys missed Hyundai Ioniq 5 which will be big player in this market.
Tesla is the daddy for the rest of electric vehicles 🔥🔥🔥😂🤣🤣😂
The Rivian doesn't look "masculine" enough for the type of people that normally like to drive pickups.
11,500 lb feet of torque??? Or 1,150 lol
The absence of sedans in the US market is really appalling to me. The auto industry has pushed SUVs too far, and this doesn't bode well for city life at all.
The electric car sounds good but they we will have dependence on electric. If we start driving millions on electric cars the electric grid system will have to be upgraded in parts of the country. Look at the parts of the country that are still without power now because of the storms. I understand electric is an alternative fuel source but it will probably cost billions to upgrade the existing electric grids which have not been upgraded for years and well as more underground power lines. What good is an electric car when there is a weak electric grid and we could be out of power for multiple days? You are stranded.
It would require a 30% expansion for 250 million EVs, if these EVs had VTG you wouldn't have to worry as much as each car would be capable of back flowing into the grid and powering your home for a duration, tesla uses a proof of concept mega battery in Australia to prevent blackouts and brown outs all with huge savings, politicians in the US have gotten real good at making excuses not to upgrade our infrastructure such as, "it's too expensive" or "it cost too much" and my favorite "we dont have money for this!" When the wealthiest nation on earth fails to mend itself it will quickly become the second richest nation on earth, and you know who will take 1st? China, their electrical infastructure has rapidly expanded for a country with significantly less funding then our government. Power in Texas went out because people where using too much gas and there wasn't enough for the GAS powered plants, so it's not just gas infastructure, the Texas government management of its power failed and they blamed it on wind power.
Talk about Nio and Xpeng
Disappointed in verge
Ahahahah, mustang? Really?
Don't know about figures but I am noticing a lot more Tesla's in my hometown of Bundaberg QLD AUS since model 3 has come out.
I definitely wanna know about nio and other emerging EV companies in China. How and If they are advanced in tech vs USA EV market.
They aren't more advanced, they are just cheaper to make so and they copy designs payed for by other companies, these companies can eventually outcompete US ones by doing it, this is a strategy they had for over 20 years and it's working for them.
I would love to see more videos about the electric car industry in China.
*"I swear: XPeng does not exist 🛑🤐 Zip"* *- The Verge*
i don't know who needs to hear this, you've got to stop saving money.invest some part of it if you really want financial freedom.
Mr Roland lerch is a well known certified bitcoin and stock exchange trader. He taught me all the ethics of trading i know today.
@Cleo Jessy Financial advisors heads management/guide on trade and risk on investment.
@Richard Arnold someone already shared it
This Expert must be very good at what he does . Well am gonna find out myself, writing to him now.
How can i reach him? I really need to start investing in a good platform like his.
Finally people are realizing that EV's are not just Tesla. Electrification of the auto industry has been going on for a long time, just without the Tesla cultish hype.
Team anything that isnt tesla
Evs in china yess please
I don’t get Cybertruck haters. If you want pick up truck, then you want rugged. Cybertruck’s body is literally the sturdy chassis, not some aluminium body that dents all over in few years and it’s lighter. It’s literally the only pick-up that has some innovation to it. All the other EV pick ups are literally just heavier pick ups with less range and aren’t no different from any modern pick up we had for decades.
Do a global electric car companies video.
Nio
Talk about the eu and China
That china thing is something I want to see you make a video about
*"I swear: XPeng or that by far the biggest EV market does not exist 🛑🤐 Zip"* *- The Verge*
How about lowering the price? For those of us that make less than minimum wage.
More EV content please!
How you gonna charge it Texas ain’t got no light 😂
Yes make more videos about EV
Cyber truck rules \m/
Yes. I want to see more videos about EVs. I hope an EV would be my next car purchase.
