Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus are the company’s latest true wireless earbuds. Compared to the original Galaxy Buds, they have improved sound quality and a much longer 11-hour battery life. They’re also far better at voice calls.

Has Samsung made enough improvements for you to buy the Galaxy Buds Plus?
I just bought them and I LOVE them!
@Babita Agarwal same. My buds+ work fantastic with my s20 ultra
Thanks for the review Yes. Just ordered the Buds Plus. Did lots of research and comparison shopping, the Samsungs checked all my boxes at a competitive price. Looking forward to getting them in my ears paired with my Pixel 3.
I really enjoyed them. Good quality sound and battery life but after usage of 2 month i am giving my experience. The quality is same but they are heating up after continuous use of 2 to 3 hours.
Are these ear buds good for an Iphone?
Does it have noise cancelling?
Must know about earbuds if you use Discord/Zoom or internet calls often: There is a major major flaw in these earbuds that I haven’t seen a single reviewer mention and that I wish I’d known about before I bought them. This is a common flaw in all bluetooth earphones and headphones I’ve discovered, and there is no solution for it. Bluetooth audio devices have profiles known as codecs that control sound quality: the high quality sound codec is called AAC and the lower quality sound codec SBO/SCO. When listening with the earbuds, the active codec is AAC, which sounds fantastic. However under certain circumstances the earphones drop down to SBO/SCO, which is distorted and sounds terrible. One of these circumstances is if you use the mic on any VOIP apps or internet calls or anything that requires using the mic (discord, skype, zoom, recording an audio etc.). (Doesn’t apply to regular phonecalls though). If you join an internet call using your earbuds mic, they drop down in quality MASSIVELY: your audio becomes horribly distorted and so is the sound being transmitted from your mic. The only ‘solution’ is to change your sound input to your laptop or computer’s built in microphone, which usually isn’t very good. If you don’t join internet calls often or have a strong laptop microphone, this problem won’t affect you. But for someone who is constantly on internet calls or who has to record audios, this is a huge let down. There are some apps that are made to force your earbuds to use AAC but none have worked for me sadly. I wish reviewers would discuss this major flaw in the earbuds or in bluetooth devices in general so people don’t make the mistake of buying them without knowing like I did. Everything else about these though, from sound to comfort to battery is fantastic.
will ambient sound settingsin wearable app work with android phone or just work in Samsung phone
Haven't had drops or disconnects on my iPhone SE 2020 with the Galaxy Buds+
Since the buds are old now They lowered on price
@the verge they conect to any year phone right asking cus my phone is a 2018 a7
Samsung made truly wireless buds before the galaxy buds
3:25 I thought this was normal audio and that you hadn't shown the quality yet
There was nothing wrong with the first galaxy buds
I got these for my iPhone se 2 simply because of the fact that I can’t afford AirPod pros (cause I’m broke😭)and I just really don’t like the original AirPods they’re not good for activities or working out especially for me cause they just don’t fit my ears the don’t seal of outside noise they’re sound quality good but for the price not as good as they could be so I’m like whatever people can make fun of me for using Samsung earbuds on an iPhone Yea ik it’s a very long comment lol
Yeah
Mines are arriving next week :3
I got the buds+ for the repairable aspects
This vs the original AirPods using on iPhone?
I had the original buds, they developed an issue and I contacted samsung support, to make up for the whole thing they sent me the buds plus, best audio experience I've ever had.
what an awesome video!
There is a lag while gaming on a non samsung phone.
For me, battery replacement is a must. AirPods are maybe better, but they won’t last after battery will deteriorate. That’s a no go for me after my first AirPods became unusable after two years. I don’t understand why reviewers don’t pay attention to that detail. I understand that companies have a profit from selling a large amount of these, which will end up in a dumpster, but reviewers should praise repairable buds, not only how they sound when they are new.
All the buds and the phone sound bad. It's like we are going backwards in tech.
Now they're a no brainer at only 99€
And samsung blew it with the 3rd one. Why no passive noice cancellation samsung, why?
Almost came on myself watching this video. I have to get those EarPods 🎧 now if you’ll excuse me, I have to clean up this mess I made in the bathroom 🚽
amazing video v useful, impressive
You know Samsung watch this video and well he said we have to add noise cancelling to the third generation so we got to do it even if it's so so LOL
Considering it.... I had the first galaxy buds, they went into the washer and died instantly.... Then I had airpods, I loved! Worked perfect, then they hit the washing machine, and still sort of work, but not entirely... So now I need a new set...
Or maybe better care while washing clothes
How much sweat it can handle?
Great review, thank you for posting. Do you have any intel on the Gen3 and when they are scheduled to arrive?
Best review ever... I'm kinda sad they don't include noise canceling to be honest
No noise canceling. Too bad
To be honest, iPhone 11 phone call sounds worse than Galacy Bud Plus
Great review, kinda wish you touched more on the equalizer in the app and how much it changes the music you're hearing. Solid review tho, its making me think these are the ones I want.
Does anyone get pain and discomfort from wearing the galaxy buds plus? I’ve tired with all the wingtips and eartip combinations. Currently have the one without the ear tip but still hurts. When I put them in I twist them backwards? Is this the correct way to wear them? Thanks.
He is just rapping the whole review !!! Cool!!!
Owned a pair for around two weeks now. I'm quite happy - the battery life is insanely good, the fit is great and the sound quality is good. They are very small and light - barely notice that they are there, but they have never fallen out. As a critique I would say that the Ambient Sound is quite "synthetic" and tiresome to listen to though, and I keep it off. If you plan on picking up a pair you should know that they can overheat in direct sunlight so if you want to use them in a very sunny and warm climate consider getting another color than black, which tends to get warmer a lot faster. You should also download the app and put the equalizer on "Dynamic" for greatly improved sound quality.
I need a pair that has good call quality, nice mids and highs, and ear rattling lows with all clear. Basically a big bass car system in my ears. Any recommendations?
Great review man
You didn't mention the ambient sound improvement which is significant from the originals
While using the galaxy wireless charging pad my buds and case take 6-7 hours to charge wirelessly from 10% to 100%. Is this time ideal for wireless charging or is there a problem?
Can you use either bud on it's own whilst the other stays in the charge case.
Yep, I just bought some.
Lypertek Tevi ❤️ is my choice
I came here to see if the BTS GALAXY BUDS WOULD BE GREAT 💜💜💜💜💜💜👀👀👀👀👀
You was comparing old AirPods
wow he said the galaxy buds was samsung FIRST attempt of tws earbuds.......meanwhile the samsung Gear icon X is......Am i ajoke to you ? ermm in someways it is but thats the first attempt
Masvidal vs Diaz :)
Definitely
Are these ear buds good for an Iphone?
I use them for iphone and I love them bro all u need to is download the galaxy buds plus app and ur good to go
Just picked the black ones for $115 in India with discount, cant wait to try them.
raghunath reddymandapati I picked it up from the Samsung Corporate Site. If your company is part of the list of companies, you will be able to get a corporate discount. Check their online store
Where did you buy them for 115$ in India?
I had no idea earbuds sounded this terrible during phone calls. Wow.
What are the sound specs .. sensitivity .. db, frequency response.. hz.? Nobody includes those as if it's a secret.
Can you charge it with the oneplus warp charge?
I'm listening to this on a pair of $4 earbuds, because I can't afford anything else... Why am I watching this?
@KC Cast watching this on my Galaxy buds live with samsung s20
Listening to this with my galaxy buds + while watching on my s20 ultra
Where is Becca?
Now I use airpod pro and galaxy buds plus. In my opinion galaxy buds sound quality is better than airpod Aipr pods sounds like baseboosted eaephone But samsung buds sounds is really clear but ANC is not add to buds But ohter parts is more better than airpod pro
Honestly, for me the biggest plus with these is that they dont stick out from my ears, meaning I can put my head on a pillow and fall asleep wearing them.
Fun review and i like the overall positive vibe to the video
I use buds plus for calls and they sound around 10x better than in this video. Almost clear as talking directly with the mobile device. Just wanted you guys to know that calls are perfect with buds plus.
I am commenting here after 1 month using. They are good for call and music. Battery time is so good but they are overheating after 2 or 3 hours that is not good for ears.
Can this be use in personal computer? Thank you in advance!
Great video !! Can I use them to workout? I sweat a lot while working out and the galaxy buds plus are barely rated IPX2. What do you think? Greetings from Spain 🇪🇸
This guy isn’t even looking at t camera
It wasn't their first attempt, it was their third. You forget the Samsung Icon X and Icon X 2018
They are bs. Don't dont care about other brands aside from Apple. But this guy did well.
I actually think it is VERY fair to compare buds+ to Airpods Pros because APs may be way more expensive, but Buds+ have way more features and customization. If the cheaper alternative can compete with the expensive one, it is definitely a fair comparison.
What made me purchase these buds was a phone call from a friend. She was walking outside, it was windy and she was wearing a face mask. I heard her clearly and without any issues!! I bought them the very same day!!
Why dont manufacturers focus more on making HD microphones for earphones and phones. Even more, why not upgrade the cell network to focus on improving sound quality, I mean its 2020 and we DO have the technology.
Man Fugg samsung even though i have the whole ecosystem 🤪
if only they made them smaller even with like 6 hours of battery life down from 11 that would be a good compromise. Also change the gloss case to something like the pixel buds
Great review, Chris W. Thoughtful and thorough. Thanks a lot!
Thanks for including the call quality comparison. I hope you'll continue doing it in your upcoming reviews.
Something to hold them in your ears is why an iOS user would pick Samsung.
Galaxy Buds+ > AirPods Pro
Galaxy Buds plus are made by which country???
Yup they are great in all aspects
could def tell you were reading off the teleprompter off to the side
He has a lazy eye, watch his other videos.
I don't know if I got a dud set or you're high as hell but the audio quality is awful. No bass, tinny, and horrible call quality. I tested out the call quality on friends and they felt that my old Plantronics set sounded better.
I own the 2nd gen AirPods and the first Samsung Galaxy buds, and for me personally i use my Galaxy buds more often because of the silicon tips and wings. Unfortunately my ears must not be what Apple considers normal since my AirPods 2nd gen constantly pause thinking I took it out of my ear but it really just became loose from my head movements or mouth movements. This means I constantly have to readjust it into my ears.If you have the money, I would consider the AirPods Pro or these new Galaxy Buds+ both because of the silicone tips + wings that ensure the earbud will fit whatever shaped ears you may have.
Pixel Buds are better
hate the glossy case...
I have the original Galaxy buds and every call I make, I have had no complaints and people hear me crystal clear..... so if it varies lol
Cant wait to get mine, ordered them this weekend on sale for 180$ good deal
Pretty forgetting the icon X they made it first.
oh no i ended up at the verge
Excellent and thorough review.
They wernt first attempt
Did loads of people gets these free with their s20s? I'm not sure whether to keep them or flip them.
I like the more matte finish of the original. But dbrand does exist.
Can you review Technics EAH-AZ70W ? Stay safe
Is this good for 11 year olds? It is also said that these have bad radiation.ould you fill me in?
Your review video just single handedly pushed me to go with the buds plus over the originals. You convinced me when you used all the headphones microphones to talk to us. The originals sounded horrible and I liked how crisp and clear the buds plus sounded.
Enjoying them?
Call quality is awful on all true wireless buds. I'll wait till manufacturers fix this.
I've had the original for like almost a year now, but I'm considering the buds + now. It cost $150, but should I even bother? Mine works great and I'm not sure if I should. All I'm seeing is slightly better everything which I don't think really entices me. I like to keep up with new tech, but should I just wait until the third generation of buds next year?
@Mark Lezzy I really like how everything is better, but I'm still not convinced. It's a toss up at this point, but I do appreciate your feedback. I feel like I'll just use these until it doesn't work anymore or if I lose them somehow.
@Michael Shanker audio is better theres more basss theres a hidden features like touchin the edge of the buds can increase the volume also more battery life 11hrs and it can show u the battery of the case and the ambient mode is much better
@Mark Lezzy Is there like a significant difference? Having both you should have a good idea on this.
I got both galaxy buds and buds +
Very good and helpful review ❤❤
Just purchased a set today and was initially VERY disappointed with the bass and overall volume of it. I had a set of sabbat ultra and they were fantastic. NOW after changing the ear buds to sabbats surplus bigger ones and generally "breaking into them" it sounds WONDERFUL. I recommend them totally but with the right earbuds (which don't seem to be supplied) trust me
I need some help 😩 just got mine, but the sound is awful 😫 think I got faulty one. How i could check sound quality with all this Coronavirus 🇬🇧
i bought the buds+ today and after 15 min there is a cracking sound in the right bud on full volume when baas kick in.. did u felt?
@Ryad Jacaranda no.. after a fight with samsung i got replaced
Did this problem go away?
Samsung is the best.
Is there a compatible comply form tips ?
But can you finally track it with the buds inside the case tho?
No why, is in the case and it don't have connection with your phone how on earth will you be able to track it. It like calling a switched of phone. But u can it with the app it you lost it in your room
If Apple air pods had better battery life like the Galaxy buds🤔🤔🤔
